I have long been fascinated by the shape of Lake Manawa in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Unlike other lakes along the Missouri River, cutoff bodies of water called oxbow lakes, Lake Manawa is considerably exaggerated. The shape also coincidentally mimics the bottom of a guitar’s body.
